How to make Golden Paste

To make golden paste for dogs, you can follow this simple recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup turmeric powder
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup cold-pressed coconut oil or olive oil

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the turmeric powder and water. Stir well to create a smooth paste.

  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook the mixture for about 7-10 minutes, stirring constantly. This helps to activate the curcumin in the turmeric.

  3. Add the freshly ground black pepper to the mixture and continue stirring. Black pepper enhances the absorption of curcumin in the body.

  4. Gradually add the coconut oil or olive oil to the mixture, stirring until everything is well combined. The oil helps with the absorption of curcumin and provides healthy fats.

  5. Continue cooking and stirring the mixture for another 3-5 minutes until it thickens to a paste-like consistency.

  6. Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the mixture to cool completely.

  7. Transfer the cooled golden paste to a glass jar with an airtight lid. Store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Dosage and Usage: The dosage of golden paste may vary depending on your dog's size and health condition. It's best to consult with a veterinarian to determine the appropriate dosage for your dog. As a general guideline, the recommended dosage for dogs is:

  • Small dogs: Start with 1/4 teaspoon per day and gradually increase to 1/2 to 1 teaspoon per day.
  • Medium-sized dogs: Start with 1/2 teaspoon per day and gradually increase to 1 to 2 teaspoons per day.
  • Large dogs: Start with 1 teaspoon per day and gradually increase to 1 to 2 tablespoons per day.

Golden paste can be mixed with your dog's regular food. Start with a small amount and gradually increase the dosage over time. Monitor your dog for any adverse reactions and discontinue use if any issues arise.
